District Partnerships Manager

Organization 

Kinvolved is a national, mission-driven organization helping school systems streamline, elevate, and evaluate their student and family engagement efforts. We help school systems improve family engagement and attendance to get every student to every class and boost student outcomes. We do this by providing tailored professional learning services, and an all-in-one communications app called KiNVO™. 

About the role:

This full-time role reports to the Chief Executive Officer. If you like prospecting, building a pipeline, working, and closing deals, and helping a mission-driven company better serve students and families in public schools, this job is for you!

As an integral member of our team, you’ll work closely with others in sales and marketing to develop and execute on a state-focused, district sales strategy. Building upon Kinvolved’s national successes to date, where we’ve enjoyed a 95% customer retention rate, you will be responsible for promoting our solutions to district leaders in a selection of our target states, amplifying the story of our success improving family engagement and reducing chronic absenteeism.

Responsibilities: 

Territory pipeline qualification and development

  • Within a year, build a six-figure unweighted sales pipeline
  • Grow a base in four to six key states in which Kinvolved has a modest number of existing customers and/or state-level relationships 
  • Be the face of the company at primarily virtual, but possibly some in-person, regional events, presentations, and district meetings
  • Learn ins and outs of a robust and growing tech product and service offerings and value propositions to key district-based influencers and decision makers

Pipeline management: 

  • Meet a reasonable, but ambitious sales quota
  • Manage sales from quote to close
  • Support RFP coordination and submission for your territory/deals
  • Prepare and maintain a regional sales pipeline via the HubSpot CRM for weekly team meetings, semi-quarterly leadership meetings, and quarterly board meetings
  • Own, track, and report progress on all inbound sales leads

Required experience and abilities:

  • Track record of success in meeting an ambitious annual quota in K–12 district sales
  • At least five years of experience in K-12
  • Comfort learning, using, and demonstrating technology solutions
  • Sales CRM knowledge and comfortability
  • Ability to travel 25-50% of work time (when safe and reasonable during COVID-19), including evenings and weekends when needed to conferences and meetings

Lead Generation and Content Marketing Associate

About the role:

This full-time role reports to the Director of Marketing. If you love writing, creating content, generating new leads, and helping a mission-driven company better serve students and families in public schools, this job is for you!

As an integral member of our team, you’ll work closely with others in sales and marketing to develop and execute on a district sales strategy. Building upon Kinvolved’s national successes to date, where we’ve enjoyed a 95% customer retention rate, you will be responsible for promoting our solutions to district leaders in our target states, amplifying the story of our success improving family engagement and reducing chronic absenteeism.

 

Responsibilities

Lead Generation

  • Create, deploy, monitor, and refine audience-specific lead generation campaigns through mass communication such as email and social media
  • Identify potential prospects and follow-up with them via email and phone call to qualify their interest, set up sales calls, and move them through the sales funnel
  • Track initiatives with a focus on traffic, engagement, lead generation, and scheduled meetings
  • Provide consistent, concise, and timely weekly lead generation activity reports to the marketing and sales teams

Social Media Marketing

  • Create, deploy, monitor, and refine social media marketing campaigns that improve brand awareness and generate new leads
  • Interact with existing audience to increase engagement

Content Marketing

  • Manage the editorial calendar and ensure all content and campaigns are aligned with the K–12 sales cycle
  • Write a minimum of two blog posts per month for the Kinvolved blog

K–12 Industry Research

  • Remain informed about new research, articles, and trends that are relevant to Kinvolved and our customers/prospects
  • Share out relevant research with sales, marketing, and client success teams
  • Use relevant information in lead generation, content, and social media marketing campaigns

Data Management

  • Manage contact data within HubSpot
  • Manage lead lists within HubSpot

Required experience and abilities:

  • Experience with lead generation marketing
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills
  • Excellent copywriting abilities (you will write a lot for email, social media, blog posts, reports, etc.)
  • Excellent copy editing abilities (you support the marketing and sales teams as a copyeditor)
  • Experience with marketing automation software (proficiency in HubSpot a plus)
  • K–12 experience and an understanding of common district titles and responsibilities
  • Experience with WordPress a plus
  • Ability to create efficient marketing processes and workflows
  • Basic understanding of SEO

School Training Associate

School Training Associate (Contractor)

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, this role supports client trainings for a growing education technology company. The contractor will provide in-person, school-based trainings for New York City schools.

This is a great opportunity for anyone planning to work in education, education technology, or professional services, as well as for anyone interested in training educators and administrators.

  • Love teaching educators and administrators how to use technology

  • Would like to lend your experience toward social good

This is a contracted role, and you will need to be available on demand to provide school-based trainings across the five boroughs of the New York City.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver in-person trainings for educators and administrators
  • Teach educators and administrators how to use KiNVO, Kinvolved’s web and mobile app
  • Support educators and administrators in strategic KiNVO implementations, in alignment with Kinvolved’s curriculum on family engagement and attendance improvement
  • Gather and report feedback collected during trainings

Qualities and qualifications

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to work one-on-one with educators and administrators
  • Ability to deliver a presentation in front of a large group of people
  • Previous experience in education

Contracting period: As needed by the company, from January through June 2019. This contractor role may extend to the 2019–2020 school year, with room for potential full-time employment and growth.

Compensation: Hourly rate for travel and trainings.
